Why They don't Make Mattresses Bouncy Anymore

As kids we all remember bouncy on our beds. The best ones were the bounciest and we would jump despite our parents telling us not to. These days mattresses have lost their bounce for a number of reasons. Bounciness doesn't serve a functional purpose for mattresses anymore. In old mattress they used generic springs that caused damages to the mattress overtime. The springs would begin to poke out through the mattress material. The springs would also shift and cause the mattress to become uneven and bumpy. These spiral springs aren't used as much now. Modern springs are more compact and coiled differently. They don't have sharp ends that will protrude from the mattress overtime. These new springs keep the mattress sturdy and are part of providing back support to the sleeper.
